A cyber-physical systems framework for data center energy management that explicitly models the coupling between computation and thermal dynamics, enabling coordinated server and cooling control.
Abstract
This paper applies a cyber-physical systems framework to data center energy management, explicitly modeling the tight coupling between computational workloads and thermal dynamics. The approach enables coordinated control of server workload placement and cooling systems, achieving energy savings while maintaining performance guarantees. The framework is validated on a realistic data center simulation.
